Transparent Organizational Structure:
You should prepare an organizational structure which should be transparent to each other. There should be no concept of favoritism. There should be good communication with each other among the employees. Transparent organizational structure boosts employee’s confidence and provide job security which ultimately provides high work efficiency.
Score Board:
Avoid giving promotions on the basis of favoritism. Start preparing score board for employees and give incentives and promotions on the basis of score. If any employee is performing well then appreciate him and if any employee is not performing well then encourage and support him, and try to find out the reason why he/she is not performing well and try to solve the same.
Encourage Internal Promotions instead of hiring an outsider:
What do we do if our company does not perform well, we hire an outsider and appoint him/her to a higher designation. According to me this is not good for the company as well as for the employees because it creates a feeling of inferiority among the employees, they won’t let him to settle their and work properly. Instead of hiring an outsider you should encourage the existing ones to come forward and take the charge.
Feeling of Significance:
Now a days, people are not interested in who you are? They are interested in how you make them feel. It is very important to make them feel good and valuable for the organisation. “Involvement is directly proportionate to commitment”, the more you involve your manpower, the more they will be committed. You should involve your employees in the process of the growth of the company. And if you want to also achieve a milestone then you should ensure that each and every employee should feel the feeling of significance.
People like to Win:
Make sure that you can help your employees to win because where someone wins they don’t leave that place. Give them the taste of success instead of failure, because people stay there for the longer time period where they achieve something. This will boost their self-confidence and increase their morale values which ultimately results in higher work efficiency and employee retention.
Shared Vision instead of Vision Shared:
All the great leaders creates shared vision which led them to achieve a milestone in their life. This is because when you creates shared vision there is the higher involvement of the manpower and their valuable thoughts and ideas as well. Whereas in vision shared there is the imposition of one or some selected members vision on the employees. So if you want to make your startup an unicorn then you should also create shared vision instead of vision shared.
